MAGNOLIA ROOTS MUSIC LOUNGE- DATE NIGHT ON WHITE 2.0
Located on the basement level of the Sugar Magnolia Cafe & Emporium in the heart of White Street, Magnolia Roots Music lounge has been bringing original artists to downtown Wake Forest since August 2017. It’s a word-of-mouth success with events like open-mic nights and The Wake Forest Listening Room Series.

Downtown Raleigh isn’t the only downtown to consider when date night pops up on the calendar. White Street, the exploding hub of downtown Wake Forest, continues to prove it’s a worthy contender for a romantic and fun evening.

When spring break morphed into a staycation complete with a visit from the grandparents, we headed to the Aloha Safari Zoo, a hidden gem I have heard about for years, located in Cameron, NC (near Sanford). I often overlooked this unique zoo opportunity since the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro is an easy day trip as well. However, finding an outing that held the interest and physical capabilities of three generations landed Aloha Safari Zoo at the top of our list.
